i have been listening to this EP non stop for 3 days now.

A) i cant get over the fact its so fucking good and short and crap and excellent and makes me want to drool and hop about like a cockhead ALL AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME!! and...

B) its australian!

apparently there is a live recording floating about somewhere one the internerd but i'll be damned if i can find it.if anyone can help it would be rad.

lastnight at a house party,myself and 3 others sat and fooled around in my bedroom on some instruments...this is the end result.somehow we got the name WHY STOP.

this was so fun to make i went home and made a cd-r full of experiments and brutal noise using the same method i used to make this track.nothing was thought out or rehursed,nothing was listened to before going ahead with the next recorded layer.....

i prefer doing trades of things (zines,music,art,your nans maltese terrior...etc etc) but if you want to throw money at us to cover postage im sure 5 bux (australian,thanks) would fit the bill quite nicely.

on other things...i fully support bill henson and his latest/current work that WAS on show.all this media hoo haa about sex offenders and bullshit makes me sick and just confirms its not a sign of good health to be well adjusted to a sick society.and i can say that from the point of view of a sexual assault victim! i realise the media has latched onto it like shit to a stick but all these conversations i keep hearing on radio/public transport/various other media with people writing in about being worried with people like this in society etc... are just down right fucked in the head.have these people even stopped to think WHY these photos were taken? under WHAT circumstances the girl agreed to take part etc.for all they know it could be his best friends fucking daughter...life isnt summer bay or ramsay street.if only this world didnt have a rose coloured tint over it.

would you like some feedback with that?

when i lived in newcastle i was sharing a house that had no locking windows,had an axe put thru the front door,pot grew in the backyard like it was normal,the bathroom was falling apart and was missing some roof and at one stage TWENTY TWO people lived in the house....this is how i remember those times in the house accross the road from the water on mcmichael street.

i was going through a folder of recordings i had done way back and found this improv first take i had done with baz from the yellow jackets.i think its rather snazzy on my behalf since this was the first thing i had ever done with anyone.i really do quite suck with real instruments.

i named it 'the house of blyth'

experimental extreme noise!

lastnight i recorded 6 tracks outside.once again through multi fx pedal into delay and pitch shift pedals...layered them all in an audio program and this is what comes out.kinda reminds me of aphex twin and merzbow.i think i really wanna add more noise tho.but this is the rough sketch of what is to come.recorded in the red zone so be careful with loudness.id love it if it blew up some speakers tho.
a little over 7 minutes long.
EDIT: this turned out nothing like i had recorded it.weird but im going to layer this with the original and see how it turns out.

sampled cuts from some really creepy scholastic record i found which went with a projection.

i set up a mic in my backyard,ran it through a multi fx pedal and a sp-303 sampler,recorded it onto my computer.
